He returned to Wooster in the early 1980’s to be an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. He recently retired after two elected terms as Wayne County Juvenile and Probate Judge.
Ray and his wife, Allyson have been involved in many projects in the community over a long time period.
Combining his hobby of numismatics and his love of history, he has lectured on subjects concerning the economic history of the United States. His program for the Civil War Roundtable will be “Financing the Civil War.” He will discuss the similarities and differences on how both the North and South struggled to raise the funds necessary to support the War effort and, how each attempted to hinder the war effort of the other using such tactics as counterfeiting.
