Ohio History Connection’s Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor will be hosting the second Toolbox Workshop for 2016-2017 on Thursday, November 27, 2016. Dr. Diane Barnes, Professor of History at Youngstown State University, will be leading a workshop on the proper practices of Historical Editing.
Historical editing is the modern transcription of historic written materials. The workshop will cover all the professional steps involved in initiating a modern documentary editing project, from conception to publication/presentation.
The Toolbox Workshop is a one year outreach program led by the Local History Corps District 4 representative through Ohio History Service Corps’ AmeriCorps program. These programs are free and open to the public. The workshop will be held on Thursdays at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor at 151 W Wood St. Youngstown, OH 44503.
