The program will begin with registration on Sunday, November 5 at the AJA, 3101 Clifton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio on the Campus of Hebrew Union College followed by a welcome luncheon program.
Featured Keynote speaker, Dina Herbert from the National Archives & Records Administration (NARA) will speak at our Sunday evening dinner program regarding digitial initiatives of NARA and ways in which NARA can be of assistance to Synagogue archivists. The AJA will offer both basic and advanced sessions featuring our own archival professionals. The Program will end at 4:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
The Marriott Kingsgate, located on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, will serve as the conference hotel. Reservations must be made directly with the hotel. Prior to the Synagogue Archives Conference, November 2-5, 2017, we will be hosting the Southern Jewish Historical Society Conference. There will be opportunities to tour the Underground Railroad Freedom Center, take a Jewish bus tour of Cincinnati, and attend sessions relating to “Borders & Borderlands of Southern Jewish History.”
