Getting Publicity for Your Nonprofit

March 23, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

$10 – $25
An OANO Webinar

You know media awareness is a great way to get your organization’s name out and raise awareness about the great work you do. It can even be more economical compared to other paid forms of marketing.

However, there’s a challenge. Aside from budget constraints and limited staffs, some nonprofits aren’t as experienced in the nuances of working with media—professional journalists, reporters, producers, podcasters, and bloggers.

Working with media is more than just a series of press releases that get sent out from time to time to support a campaign, event or fundraising initiative. It’s about building relationships with and being a helpful resource to those who can tell your story. Stories that can lead to more funding, volunteers, awareness and support.

Your audience needs to hear about your organization, your message and your story, but how?

Join Joel Kessel, a 23-year public and media relations professional, who will walk us through practical steps on how we can work with media to amplify our cause, story and message.

Takeaways:
Those who participate will walk away with a better understanding on how to:
• Implement a proven process that can be followed with confidence.
• Have much more success in getting media awareness.
• Think differently about how media relations fits into your awareness and educational efforts.

Fees: $10.00 Members       $25.00 Non-Members
