The Ohio Civil War Symposium is for Ohio University alumni and anyone interested in the history of the Civil War. The cost is $30 and includes admission to Sherman House Museum and lunch.

The keynote lecture is “Sheridan’s Ride at Cedar Creek,” by Ohio State’s Mark Grimsley. OHIO professor Katherine Jellison talks about “The Imprint of War on the Ohio Homefront,” and Brian Schoen gives his take on “Ohio’s Internal War.”
The Sherman House Museum in Lancaster, Ohio, is the birthplace of General William Tecumseh Sherman, his younger brother U.S. Senator John Sherman and home of the remarkable Sherman family.
