Application deadline, Ohio Historical Marker Grants

In April 2014, the Ohio Historical Marker Grant Committee will meet again to make the next round of grant awards. Now is the time to apply! The next deadline for Ohio Historical Markers grants is April 1, 2014.

If your historical society wants to apply for a marker, find the application, price list, and other information at www.remarkableohio.org. It is easy to apply for a grant. Just check the line at the top of the application that reads “Yes, we apply for funding for our marker through Ohio Historical Markers Grants Program.” Remember, to be considered make sure your application is postmarked or e-mailed by April 1st. One does not need to apply for a markers grant to erect a marker. Local sponsors who want to pay the entire cost of a marker, may work with the Local History Office at any time during the year. Please note that we expect a price increase for markers in May 2014. Current prices for markers range from $2,300 to $2,580. Good luck!
