The Betts House to Exhibit  A Day in the Life: As the Betts Family Lived in the Mid-19th Century

NSCDA-OH is pleased to present A Day in the Life: As the Betts Family lived in the mid-19th Century at the Betts House April 1-June 30, 2017. In addition to the praised exhibit last year, the exhibit will feature brand new materials and programs showing how adults and children entertained themselves in the mid nineteenth century.  Join us 1-4 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017, for the opening reception. Light refreshments will be served. The Betts House’s regular hours are Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12-5 pm.

April 22: 19th Century Betts-Longworth Historic District Walking Tour

About The Betts House:

Built in 1804, Ohio’s oldest brick house is located in the Betts-Longworth Historic District near downtown Cincinnati. The Betts House offers exhibits and programs exploring historic preservation and education, building trades, and construction technologies. Located two blocks west of Music Hall, at 416 Clark Street, the house is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 12-5 p.m. Other days and times are available by appointment. The Betts House is owned and operated by the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in The State of Ohio (NSCDA-OH), a non-profit organization, founded in 1896, which promotes our national heritage through historic preservation and education. NSCDA-OH owns the Kemper Log House now at Heritage Village in Sharon Woods, the NSCDA Ohio Gallery at the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Betts House, to ensure that these historic structures and decorative arts are preserved and shared with the community.  Call us at 513-651-0734 for more information.
