Ohio History Day 101 Webinar
August 11, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm$20 – $40
Ohio History Day 101: the Experience of History Day in Ohio
Ohio History Day is a year-long research project conducted by students in grades 6-12. A self-directed project, students are encouraged to find a topic that interests them and demonstrate its historical significance. For many students, this is their first time visiting a library or accessing an academic database with the express purpose of doing research. This program will be co-presented by Shoshanna Gross of Ohio History Day and the Ohio History Connection and Deanna McDaniel from the Genoa Middle School Library. Shoshanna will discuss the overall benefits and logistics of the program, and Deanna will talk about her experience from the perspective of a librarian with a long-standing relationship with Ohio History Day.
